Managed IT for General Contractors

No internet in the trailer. No controls on the wire.

Rudick Innovation & Technology is a managed IT provider built for general contractors in Dallas, Houston, and Austin.

We fix the two problems that cost GCs the most: job sites that cannot get online when the schedule says go, and payment fraud that arrives looking like a routine email from a sub you know.

Offices in Dallas, Houston, and Austin. Support coast to coast.

What general contractors tell us first

One delays the job. The other can cost you six figures in an afternoon.

These are the two issues general contractors raise most often. Both are solved before the job starts, not after somebody calls the office.

The job site trailer has no reliable internet

⚠No internet connection. Uploads to the project platform will resume when a connection is available.

Why it keeps happening

Fiber to a new site takes lead time the schedule never has. A consumer hotspot works until twenty people, a camera, and a plan table share it. And the trailer is usually set up by whoever arrived first, with whatever they could buy locally. So daily reports, photos, and RFIs sit in a queue until somebody drives somewhere with signal.

What Rudick does about it

  • Mobilize connectivity on day one using bonded cellular, fixed wireless, or fiber where the schedule allows it
  • Size and secure the trailer network for everyone who will really use it, including subs and inspectors
  • Set up printing, plan tables, site cameras, and Wi-Fi that reaches past the trailer door
  • Segment site access so a visitor's laptop never touches your project or accounting data
  • Support it through the job, then decommission cleanly at closeout with hardware recovered and accounts closed

Someone almost wired a sub's retainage to the wrong bank

⚠From: accounting@subcontractor-services.com  Subject: Updated ACH instructions for draw #7

Why it keeps happening

Construction payment fraud does not look like hacking. It looks like an email from a sub you have worked with for years, with a signed form attached, asking you to update banking details before the next draw. The domain is off by one character. Sometimes the attacker is already sitting in a mailbox, reading the draw schedule, and waiting for the right moment.

What Rudick does about it

  • Lock down email with advanced phishing protection, impersonation detection, and multifactor authentication on every account
  • Flag external mail and lookalike domains so a spoofed sender is obvious before anyone reads the attachment
  • Put a written callback verification step on every banking change, using a number you already had on file
  • Train the people who actually touch draws, lien waivers, and accounts payable, not just the office manager
  • Monitor accounts for the mailbox rules and forwarding that attackers set up first, before they ask for anything
The problem with general IT support

Most IT providers have never set foot in a job trailer.

That shows up the week you mobilize, and again the week somebody sends a banking change. Here is the difference.

The situation
A general IT provider
Rudick Innovation & Technology
The situationA job mobilizes in two weeks
A general IT providerQuotes a fiber circuit with a ninety day lead time.
RudickGets the trailer online in days with the right mix of bonded cellular, fixed wireless, or fiber, then upgrades when the permanent circuit lands.
The situationA sub emails new banking details before a draw
A general IT providerHas no process in place, so accounts payable decides on its own.
RudickFlags the lookalike domain before delivery and enforces a callback verification step that has to be completed before anything is paid.
The situationA job reaches closeout
A general IT providerLeaves the site accounts, devices, and access in place indefinitely.
RudickRecovers equipment, closes site accounts and access, and hands over project records in a form the owner will accept.
Your stack, already understood

We do not need you to explain what a draw is.

Rudick supports and optimizes more than 100 applications used across construction companies. Field and office run on different tools, and both of them have to work on the same project data.

The Rudick Innovation & Technology team
Who you get

A Texas team that has been in the trailer, not a ticket queue.

Rudick Innovation & Technology works from offices in Dallas, Houston, and Austin. The people who answer your call are the same people who mobilized your last site and know what week you are in.

That is the difference between an IT vendor and an IT partner. One closes tickets. The other keeps your job moving.

Schedule online

Tell us what mobilizes next. We will tell you how to get it online.

Bring your next job start and your current payment approval process. You will leave the call knowing how to get that trailer connected and where your payment controls have a gap, whether you hire us or not.

If the calendar does not load, open the booking page in a new tab or call (469) 916-9362.

Before you book

Questions general contractors ask us first.

How fast can you get a new job site online?

Days, not months, in most cases. We start with bonded cellular or fixed wireless so the trailer works on day one, then move to a permanent circuit if the job runs long enough to justify it.

Can you stop a fraudulent banking change, or just clean up afterward?

Stopping it is the entire point. Email controls catch most attempts before delivery, and a written callback verification step catches the ones that get through. Recovery after a wire is sent is rarely successful.

Do you support subcontractors and inspectors on our network?

Yes, on a segmented guest network that keeps them off your project and accounting data. Access is provisioned when they arrive and removed when they leave.

What actually happens on the call?

We ask about your upcoming job starts, how your trailers get connected today, and how banking changes are approved. You get a straight read on what needs attention first. There is no cost and no obligation.
